Aswin van Woudenberg (“me”, “I”, or “my”) builds and operates voice assistant applications (hereafter referred to as “voice apps”) and chatbots.
This page informs you of the policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information I receive from you (including from users of my voice apps and chatbots). By using my services, including but not limited to my voice apps, chatbots and website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Personal identification information
While using my voice apps, chatbots or other services, you may be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name, email address and home address.
I will collect personal identification information from users only if they voluntarily submit such information. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain related activities.
Non-personal identification information
Like all voice app and chatbot operators, I collect information that the platform providers (including but not limited to Amazon, Samsung, Facebook and Google) sends whenever you use my voice apps or chatbots.
This data may include information such as your device type, the parts of the voice apps and chatbots that you interact with, the time and date of your use, the time spent on the service and other statistics.
This data is used in order to improve my products. Specifically, user responses are used to train the natural language processing on platforms such as Dialogflow and Amazon Alexa.
In addition, I may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this information.
How collected information is used
My voice apps and chatbots may collect and use users’ personal information for the following purposes:
- To run and operate my voice apps and chatbots;
- To display content correctly;
- To improve customer service;
- To respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
Furthermore, the data that is collected is used to improve the intent classification model that is used to understand a user’s utterance. Your responses will be logged so that others like you who speak to the voice apps and chatbots can get the right response. In this way, the voice app or chatbot becomes better for everyone because the AI can learn to understand more people.
How your data is protected
The security of your personal information is important to me. I adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, transaction information and data stored on my servers.
Sharing your personal information
I do not sell, trade, or rent users’ personal identification information to others. I may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.
The data I receive from my users is not shared with any third party. Third party platforms such as Dialogflow may be used to collect data but none of that information is shared. Your responses are logged for product improvement purposes only and therefore are kept internally.
