Just got my grade back for a course I recently finished. The course was about business rules and how to formalize them in relation algebra so that they can be executed by a rule engine. I noticed a lot of similarities between business rules and expert systems and I wonder if it isn’t just an old concept with a new name. Interesting nonetheless though.
