Pfff, glad I finally finished this one. Visual Design, which was basically about Human Computer Interaction (HCI) seemed really interesting at first, but in the end I was totally fed up with it. The lack of focus on accuracy and objectivity surprised me a lot. The course was mainly an introduction to HCI and I’m sure I’ve seen only a tiny part of the field, but I don’t think that this course has helped me in any way building more user-friendly applications.
Capita Selecta is a two part course, and the second theme is about how tutoring software can provide meaningful feedback. I will finish this second part (which has only just begun) hopefully at the end of January and will propably dedicate another blogpost to it.
