Friday evening Sharon and I went to a classical concert here in Leeuwarden. The ‘Noord Nederlands Orkest’ played Ligeti, Mozart and Sibelius. György Ligeti is probably best known from soundtracks of some Stanley Kubrick movies.
On Saturday some friends came over for my birthday which is actually the 10th of October. They bought me some really nice presents, and later that day we went to a restaurant.
The next day, Sharon, my brother Mathieu and I went to Utrecht and climbed the Dom Tower which is the highest church tower (112,5 meters) in the Netherlands. After 465 steps we could enjoy a stunning view over the city and beyond.
Monday, Mathieu and I both had a day off and we used it to do some home renovation. We are now busy adding insulation to the attic, winter is coming soon and we’re planning to save some energy this year.
