  There wasn't enough room to write it in the margin. I have a solar calculator and it was cloudy. A four-dimensional dog ate it. Someone already published it, so I didn't bother to write it up. I had too much pi and got sick. I could only get arbitrarily close to my textbook. It's stuck inside a Klein bottle. I accidently divided by 0 and my paper burst into flames. I couldn't decide whether i is the square root of -1 or i are the square root of -1. It's Isaac Newton's birthday.

  Last night I added a new feature to my site. On every reload a random header image is shown making use of a simple script. All images are details of works by the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher.

  Friday evening Sharon and I went to a classical concert here in Leeuwarden. The 'Noord Nederlands Orkest' played Ligeti, Mozart and Sibelius. György Ligeti is probably best known from soundtracks of some Stanley Kubrick movies. On Saturday some friends came over for my birthday which is actually the 10th of October. They bought me some really nice presents, and later that day we went to a restaurant. The next day, Sharon, my brother Mathieu and I went to Utrecht and climbed the Dom Tower which is the highest church tower (112,5 meters) in the Netherlands. After 465 steps we could enjoy a stunning view ...
